Warehouse/Shipping Manager: Available Now

We’re seeking a warehouse and shipping manager to support and direct operations in our current 4,000 square-foot Au Sable Forks, NY warehouse and participate in the planning of a new facility. This is a year-round, full time position.

Major responsibilities include:

  • Training seasonal staff on order picking and packing.

  • Maintaining regular inventory counts and updating our online platform.

  • Ensuring that packing and shipping supplies are well-stocked and organized.

  • Receiving and organizing products for order fulfillment.

  • Shipping products as needed (using Shipstation).

  • Ordering LTL freight pick-ups for palletized orders.

  • Requesting package pick ups as needed.

  • Assisting pick-up order customers.

  • Communicating needs for repairs, tools, machinery, etc., to improve efficiency and safety and implementing those changes.

Requirements:

  • Experience with shipping/warehouse logistics and operating a forklift is helpful, but not required.

  • Must be a motivated team player and teacher with a strong independent work ethic, excellent communication skills, and patience.

$30/hour.

Farm Manager: Available Now

We’re seeking an experienced and motivated grower to oversee our 2.5 acre trial farm and specialty collections and participate in the planning and transition to a new farm in the next 2-3 years. This is a year-round, full time position.

Major responsibilities include:

  • Training seasonal staff on propagation, planting, cultivation, harvesting, and post harvest care for cut flower ornamental plants.

  • Maintaining plant health in field and greenhouse growing areas.

  • Assisting with tissue culture and young plant production.

  • Maintaining plant and harvest records.

  • Managing the composting system.

  • Setting up and repairing drip and overhead sprinkler irrigation systems as needed.

  • Reporting needs for supplies/tools/repairs.

Requirements:

  • Experience in greenhouse/nursery facilities and/or cut flower or fruit/vegetable farming.

  • Experience with tissue culture planting cloning preferred.

  • Must be a motivated team player and teacher with a strong independent work ethic, excellent communication skills, and patience.

$30/hour.

Seasonal Staff Wanted: November

We hire seasonal staff to help with busy bulb order fulfillment periods from September to Thanksgiving. Occasionally, seasonal staff members are invited to join us full time, year round.

When we’re not fulfilling bulb orders we’re maintaining a cut flower farm that runs trials and grows the products we sell as samples.
