Introducing: Eremurus (foxtail lilies)

We’re excited to share that we are listing an exclusive collection of 6 varieties of eremurus roots (foxtail lilies). These hard-to-find roots produce 4-5 foot tall flower spikes that draw a high price at auction in The Netherlands. For this reason, the primary producers are reluctant to share roots.

Eremurus are cold hardy (zone 4-8) and prefer well draining soil in a sunny location. Heavy, wet soil can cause rot, so site them thoughtfully. We’ll plant ours in hilled, amended beds on our farm that has heavy soil or in the dry, sandy soil at our warehouse property. Spacing: 18-24 inches.

Eremurus roots can be divided every 3-5 years to multiply your collection.

We’re offering these large, spider-shaped roots in both full crate (50) and 10-pack quantities. 5 of the six varieties will ship this fall in September and October. One variety is listed for spring shipping.
