F*CK Trump: Tariff-Free Shopping Now to April 30.

You read that right. We’re offering import-tariff free shopping on all new orders for spring products from April 15 (Tax Day) to April 30 (Just before the National General Strike on May 1). Read on for details and a list of the applicable products

During the period between Tax Day and the National Strike on May Day, we will swallow all import tariff costs for NEW orders from the following product catalogues. Meaning: we will waive that fee line on our invoices.

If you’re new to working with imported products or unaware of the impact of the Trump Administration’s trade policies on our industry, please have a look at the previous blog post and the tariff-related posts in Bulb Notes.

Shop these products tariff-free:

Misc. Spring Bulbs (dahlias, callas, gladiolus, acidcanthera, crocosmia, ismene, nerine, curcuma, Dutch iris, and more!)

Spring Roots (agapanthus, astilbe, echinacea, monkshood, peonies, hostas, siberian iris, and more!)

Spring Plugs/Liners (our specialty digitalis has been re-stocked)

Lilies (many varieties available - choose ship dates from now through August)

*There are never tariffs on our domestic products: Roses, Bearded Iris, Asparagus, Berries, Mums.

We hope this sale helps. One way that we can give a big middle finger to the administration is by empowering you to purchase more with your dollars, especially now that we are seeing the admin. wreak havoc on the global economy. We wish we could do it all the time, but we wouldn’t be around long to serve you if we tried to do that.

Another way to fight back is through collective activism. This is where you can help out, too. Many Americans have lost sight of the power of our combined voices. That’s where the National Strike comes in. What does it mean? It means we all walk out. Every person who can manage to walk out, walks out. No work, no shopping, no school on May 1.

The National General Strike is being organized by labor unions and activists across the country. We are hoping (is begging too strong a word?) that you will also participate and add your voice.

Plan ahead to participate. If you can’t leave work that day, join in solidarity and don’t spend a single dime. If you’re going to be home, and you have school age kids, teach them the value of the day by taking them out of school, too. Support older children who may want to walk out of middle/high school. They may not have a vote yet, but they have a voice. And their voices are powerful.

Together, we can build a more equitable society.

With love and solidarity,

The Team at Ampersand
